Welcome back to my blog and my blog post. Today I was given a quote from Ishmael's book. And the quote was from page 37, and It basically said that because of the civil war no one could trust someone they didn't know. I was asked if I feel the same towards strangers or if I ever have felt that way. I don't see myself just completely hating any stranger but I don't trust easily. Like I won't trust someone I just met. But I won't just go around hating everyone I don't know.

Blog post 3
I believe that his friends and his old memories like of his rapping group he had with his friends before the war made its way to him. I think that the memories is what keeped him going. Because he knew that things would eventually return to normal. Things like my family console me or remind me that things will eventually be ok.

Soldier Child
I watched a interesting documentary called "Soldier Child". The documentary made me realize how big this issue really is, because the news channels they may cover how poor some villages are, but they don't cover children soldiers that much. They might but they don't cover it nearly as much as they should. Not everyone knows how big of a problem this is, Because I didn't know much about children soldiers and unless you have seen a documentary or an extra on the news, I don't believe many people know much about the topic either.
This really showed me the issue, told me the scale of the issue, it really changed my mind on how I thought about children soldiers, and I really think that everyone remotely interested in issues about anything concerning Africa should watch this movie/documentary. Its actually difficult to pick a favorite part or portion, but the best parts I thought were the stories that were told by the survivors who were able to talk about what happened to them.

Discription post
So this is for you to learn a little about me and this blog. My name is Tyler and I made this blog for my classes elective, and what we are doing is reading the book "A Long Way Gone". And our discussions go on here. I'm not sure if I'm going to post some quots from seminars but I might, who knows. I don't know if I like this blog Idea, because I have needed to use a blog for classes before this one and they can be a bit difficult at times or it over complicates things. I'm not sure how it does but it does, possibly this time it goes over well.
